Academic Report:Engineering Ultrasmall Metalclusters For Biomedical Applications (Aug 26,2017)
Nanoclusters are widely discovered in research recently. Metal nanomaterials of different sizes and structures have great potential in biological and medical applications. Especially ultrasmall Au/Ag nanoclusters were proved to be excellent in biomedical applications. The preparation of metal nanoclusters and their applications in medicine and environmental science are mainly described. Prof. Xie's team successfully synthesized a series of gold nanoclusters by using chloromethyl acid and by CO reduction. These nanoclusters could be applied to improve the efficacy of radiotherapy, antibacterial and other fields.
