Scattering from Geometries

报告摘要:Scatteringamplitudes are among the most basic calculations in Quantum Field Theory (QFT)and most important objects in high energy physics. It has been known fordecades that they posses remarkable simplicity and structures, which areobscured in conventional formulation of QFT. I will review some recent progressin the search of new formulations that manifest such structures. Surprisinglythese formulations are related to certain geometries, including those ofRiemann surfaces, Grassmannian and ``polytopes” in kinematic spaces.
